Millwork Specialist

Carter Lumber is seeking a skilled Yard Specialist to join our team. As a Yard Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving, checking, picking, and loading material to and from trucks and warehouse areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload in-bound freight, verify material matches the order, and record any damages or shortages.
• Obtain driver's signature on bill of lading.
• Assemble store shipments by palletizing, shrink wrapping, and labeling units.
• Inspect shipment, ensuring it is securely covered and strapped.

Picking and Checking:

• Count and check material according to order.
• Ensure correct quantity to fulfill order is pulled.
• Maintain inventory and monitor out-of-stock materials.
• Stage outgoing material in order of delivery sequence.
• Ensure delivery stops are clearly marked and coded.

Safety:

• Adhere to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment.
• Ensure safety functions on equipment are operating properly.
• Handle material in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Report any defects or safety issues immediately.
• Complete required safety training.
