Cultivate a culture of strong ownership, responsibility, accountability, and teamwork with a primary focus on Industrial Safety and Quality Culture.
Set, reinforce, and hold people to high standards while driving toward excellence in all areas.
Support expectations for all employees, contractors, and visitors to exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices. Protect employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Operational ExcellenceDevelop and execute strategic, operational, quality, and manufacturing process plans that ensure the reliable production and delivery of high-quality API products.
Ensure continuous improvement culture through the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and cost reduction programs.
In collaboration with Functional Area Leadership, refine metrics and measure and report against same.
Ensure ongoing process and manufacturing capability improvement. Manufacturing and engineering policy development, installation, and maintenance, etc.
Ensure plant and equipment preventative maintenance programs are effective.
Financial LeadershipLead the planning, budgeting, cost monitoring of the Manufacturing department, including the Annual Operating Plan.
Quality and ComplianceRepresent the Site in all federal agency inspections (FDA, DEA, Homeland Security, OSHA) and customer audits.
Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of products and/or services.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering or related field.
10+ years' experience managing a manufacturing environment; specific understanding of API manufacturing preferred.
Must have strong communication, change management, and managerial skills.
Strong knowledge and demonstrated implementation of Compliance Management - cGMP, technical operations, and quality systems.
Operational Excellence certifications preferred: Green/Black Belt, Lean manufacturing.
Education, experience, location, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
