Role Summary

As a Principal Engineer specializing in transmission lines, you will engage with multidisciplinary teams to outline project objectives, oversee environmental assessments, and formulate strategic plans for project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Project Manager in the early stages to clarify project objectives and specifications.
  • Oversee Engineering of Record (EOR) processes and assist in crafting narratives and commercial strategies alongside project managers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in the creation of project narratives and strategic commercial plans.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
Required Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, current challenges (including wildfire mitigation strategies), and forthcoming competitive opportunities.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in transmission line design.
  • Experience with voltage levels of 115kV and above (including 230kV, 345kV, 500kV, and 765kV).
  • Knowledge of FERC Order 1000 and competitive RFP processes.
  • Experience in HVDC transmission line design.
  • Expertise in designing 765kV transmission lines.
  • Proficiency in commercial and contract negotiations.
