About the Role

The Mental Health Technician I (MHT I) provides essential support services to individuals experiencing serious mental illness. This includes delivering group and individual training on various topics, such as social skills, coping mechanisms, and self-management techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to patients/consumers to ensure they keep appointments that meet their individual needs.
  • Engage in crisis prevention and management as necessary, working in hospital, outpatient clinic, or community settings.
  • May work in home, work/school, or shelter settings, providing support to individuals with serious mental illness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two (2) years of work experience (related or non-related) and one (1) year of experience with the SPMI and/or Addictive Disease population or CPRP preferably in a full-time status is required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Services will be accepted in lieu of experience.
