Position Summary
The role entails overseeing and managing all aspects of safety and OSHA documentation. This position requires collaboration with both employees and management to effectively communicate safety policies, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential hazards utilizing the Oldcastle Near Miss Potential Hazard program.
- Collaborate with operations and management to implement corrective and preventative measures to mitigate risks.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations, perform data analysis, and monitor corrective and preventative actions.
- Enhance your expertise through continuous training and practical experience.
- Maintain accurate safety records and generate safety reports as required.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications to relevant regulatory bodies.
- Evaluate and support employees in the selection of personal protective equipment.
- Provide assistance to site construction management in the development and execution of new programs, permits, and equipment.
- Input and manage safety-related data within Oldcastle's software systems.
- Organize, distribute, and develop specific training as necessary.
- Create and manage purchase orders as required.
- Stay informed about new technologies and regulatory developments in the industry.
- Inspect work environments, machinery, and equipment to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Utilize critical thinking to identify improvement opportunities through collaboration with area and regional management.
- Monitor employee adherence to safety protocols and equipment usage.
- Intervene in any unsafe actions or operations.
- Ensure completion of all inspections and safety meetings on a monthly basis.
- Maintain compliance with air, water, hazardous waste, and other relevant permits.
- Continuously strive to enhance processes using Six Sigma methodologies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Background in maintaining OSHA and EPA compliance.

- Familiarity with general office procedures and equipment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Capability to collaborate with administrative, production, and technical personnel at all levels to achieve organizational goals.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
