About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Acme Smoked Fish Corp. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, placing orders, and ensuring accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review sales orders and forecasted sales to determine inventory needs.
  • Place orders to transfer products daily from other Acme warehouses to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of transfer orders.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through good receiving procedures and cycle counts.
  • Order finished goods resale items from suppliers as needed to replenish inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders as necessary to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Assist with quarterly inventory counts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Follow established QA procedures for receiving, put away, storage, and shipping.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory management processes.
  • Provide support for inventory-related initiatives and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of proven experience working in inventory management, purchasing, or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and procedures.
