Job Summary
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will oversee procurement activities within our organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing new suppliers and ensuring that purchased products meet specific technical specifications.
  • Negotiating purchase terms and evaluating supplier performance.
  • Ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any supply issues or discrepancies.

Duties & Functions
Your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Preparing and processing sales and purchase orders in line with company policies.
  • Researching, selecting, and purchasing quality products and materials.
  • Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating optimal pricing.
  • Updating inventory and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Planning and managing logistics for delivery schedules and inventory levels.
  • Developing and maintaining a list of suppliers, including their qualifications and delivery times.
  • Acting as the point of contact for vendors, freight handlers, customers, and internal sales departments regarding all purchasing matters.
  • Assisting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Teams with customer and vendor billing.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Standards
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in customer service, purchase orders, and vendor drop shipments.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • The capability to multitask and solve problems efficiently.
