Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment programming and provide feedback to each child in the unit.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and therapeutic milieu in the treatment unit.
  • Supervise youth at all times while teaching them coping and daily living skills.
  • Complete proper treatment documentation on time and consistent with YBGR policies.
  • Serve as a liaison to families and agencies responsible for youth in the unit, providing professional customer service.
  • Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization.
  • Deal constructively and helpfully with all other members of the organization.
  • Support and model the mission and values of YBGR.
  • Adhere to all policies, systems, safety requirements, and procedures of the organization.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience/Interest in working with youth with emotional and behavioral issues.
  • 21 years old or older.
  • License to operate a passenger vehicle and reliable means of transportation.
  • Ability to relate and build rapport with youth therapeutically while serving as a positive role model.
  • Knowledge of and ability to maintain professional therapeutic boundaries and confidentiality with youth and families.
  • Ability to work with youth in multiple settings, such as individually and in groups.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Display regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Demonstrate sound & ethical judgment and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of experience working with youth in a similar setting or environment.
  • Knowledge of behavior modification and age-appropriate child development.
Work Environment

This position will generally work indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Occasionally, you will work in an outdoor environment where you may not be protected from weather conditions.
