Lead Environmental Services Team

As an Environmental Services Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. You will coordinate the tasks of Assistant Directors and Operations Managers, serving as a liaison between administration and hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Responsible for department's financial data and statistics, monitoring unit expenditures, and developing and recommending department operating budget.
  • Operational Coordination: Coordinates housekeeping activities with other departments, actively communicates with administration and other hospital departments.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Plans, prioritizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the department, establishes work standards and work flow.
  • Policies and Procedures: Establishes and implements policies and procedures for departmental operations, ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Quality and Performance: Proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives, demonstrates quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
  • Training and Development: Develops and maintains job descriptions for department staff, encourages staff to participate in education programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Four year college degree and equal related experience required.
  • Experience: Three years of housekeeping management experience at a healthcare account required.
  • Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data, general intuition for business, excellent social skills, high customer service and quality demeanor.
  • Technology: Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
