Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Trusts and Estates Paralegal to become a vital part of our legal team. In this role, you will provide extensive support in various areas of estate planning, probate, gift taxation, wills, trusts, and asset management. This is a full-time position that promises excellent benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Prepare and submit probate documents, such as petitions, notices, and inventories.
  • Engage with clients and other professionals involved in estate planning and administration.
  • Support the administration of trusts, focusing on asset management and distribution.
  • Prepare gift tax returns and aid in tax planning strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on various topics related to trusts and estates.
  • Organize and maintain client files and databases efficiently.
  • Participate in client meetings and document detailed notes.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to attorneys as required.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal specializing in trusts and estates.
  • In-depth knowledge of estate planning, probate, gift taxation, wills, trusts, and asset management.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • A bachelor's degree or paralegal certification is preferred.
