We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Analyst - Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at RGA Reinsurance Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, preparing, and processing general expense entries, accruals, and reconciliations, as well as preparing annual audited financials for certain subsidiaries in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare consolidated GAAP variance analytics and reporting, researching unusual analytic fluctuations and informing/executing on corrective actions.
- Collateral Management: Liaise with lines of business to maintain inventory of treaties with various forms of collateral triggers, analyzing trigger requirements and possible resolutions.
- Supervisory Duties: Perform supervisory duties, including hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining direct reports, fostering a positive and engaged work environment.
- Debt Covenant Compliance: Maintain debt covenant compliance with timely filings, analyzing requirements needed for new facilities and changing covenants.
- Balance Sheet Variance Process: Coordinate balance sheet variance process in conjunction with segment controllers, obtaining appropriate sign-off on variances and following up as needed.
- Stock Compensation and Option Grants: Perform accounting and analysis for stock compensation and stock option grants/exercises/cancellations, providing 123R compliant reporting disclosure.
- Journal Entries and Special Projects: Handle limited monthly journal entry responsibilities for certain corporate processes and entities, as well as special accounting projects as assigned.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent related work experience, 5-8 years accounting or auditing experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of accounting/finance theory and applications, statutory and GAAP accounting, basic Word, intermediate Excel, and SQL/Query skills.

The general pay range for this position is $74,000-$105,000 per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles, and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
