Job Assignment: Sanitation Department

The Sanitation Specialist - Prepared Foods will be responsible for cleaning equipment throughout the plant using high-pressurized water, cleaning agents, and other sanitation equipment in accordance with U.S.D.A. and Pilgrims Pride Directives for sanitation control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean equipment and facilities to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Operate high-pressurized water and cleaning agents to sanitize equipment and surfaces
  • Follow U.S.D.A. and Pilgrims Pride Directives for sanitation control
  • Work safely and responsibly with fellow employees and equipment
  • Meet attendance and productivity expectations

Requirements:
  • Above average attendance habits
  • Self-motivation and willingness to work in areas of the plant
  • Ability to work safely and responsibly with fellow employees and equipment
  • Correctable eyesight and ability to lift/push/pull over 25 lbs frequently
  • Ability to follow instructions given by supervisor or Crew Leader
  • Understanding of the importance of good sanitation habits
  • Ability to work with both hands and reach above shoulders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely
  • Attention to detail
