Job Overview

Bergman KPRS is a leading national General Contractor/Project Management Company seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead our local Construction Team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with a strong background in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to meet requirements while controlling budget, contractual scope of work, and schedules.

This experienced Construction Project Manager will be responsible for successfully managing construction teams of professionals in achieving positive project results and obtaining repeat contract awards. The role is an in-house office position, and we are only considering local Southern California Residents.

The Construction Project Manager reports directly to the Managing Member and/or Director of Operations. Key responsibilities include managing all matters relating to preconstruction, cost estimating, project bidding, and vendor qualifications.

  • Monitoring and reporting project costs and schedules.
  • Preparing and monitoring project schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
  • Preparing and monitoring Procurement Logs.
  • Subcontract scoping and negotiation.
  • Formulating and monitoring Subcontracts & Purchase Orders.
  • Preparing and negotiating Owner Change Orders.
  • Preparing and negotiating Subcontractor Change Orders.
  • Ensuring project closeout is properly conducted and completed.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and building code requirements.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of the project to develop the budget and deliverables.
  • Conducting in-depth constructability review and analysis.
  • Able to identify, manage, and mitigate risk factors to ensure smooth construction.
  • Initiating and chairing all OAC Meetings.
  • Initiating and ensuring all GC/Subcontractor Meetings.
  • Collaborating closely with Clients, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors, City Officials/Inspectors, etc. to establish project requirements.
  • Collaborating and reviewing bid proposals and packages, including conducting onsite/pre-bid walk-throughs to identify site logistics and constraints.

  • ProCore Project Management Certified
  • OSHA 30
  • Bluebeam Certified
  • LEED Certified
  • Certified in Microsoft Project
  • Certified in Primavera P6
  • Bachelor of Science Degree – Construction Management
