Framing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Framing Specialist to join our team at Michaels Arts and Crafts. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, creating memorable framing solutions, and maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.

• Customer Service: Provide a safe, clean, and clutter-free environment for customers, and assist them in finding the products they need.
• Framing Solutions: Create custom framing solutions that meet customers' needs and exceed their expectations.
• Visual Merchandising: Maintain a visually appealing store environment, including the framing department, and ensure that all products are properly displayed and merchandised.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure that all products are properly stored and secured.
• Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals, and provide support as needed.

• Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Measuring and Cutting Skills: Ability to accurately measure and cut framing materials, and operate framing equipment.
• Physical Demands: Ability to regularly bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch, and move throughout the store.

• Retail Experience: Previous retail experience, preferably in a framing or visual merchandising role.
• Sales and Service Experience: Experience selling products and services to customers, and providing exceptional customer service.

Our store is a public retail environment with a climate-controlled atmosphere. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required to retrieve shopping carts or unload trucks. The framing department contains glass cutters and heat presses, and work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
