The **Senior Vendor Risk Analyst** will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to initiate, define, and strategize assessments of both new and existing vendor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments either on-site at vendor facilities or remotely through virtual meetings.
- Evaluate completed questionnaires and supporting materials to ensure vendors have effectively implemented necessary information security measures; analyze findings to pinpoint security vulnerabilities or deviations from established industry standards.
- Generate comprehensive documentation of assessments and carry out threat analyses on identified gaps.
- Relay vendor information security concerns to stakeholders, ensuring clarity on associated risks and necessary remediation actions.
- Confirm the validity of evidence provided by vendors prior to the closure of Remediation Plans.
- Escalate vendor-related issues to management as required.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of concepts, best practices, and controls across various information security domains, including:
- Risk Management
- Access Control
- Cryptography
- Physical Security
- Security Architecture and Design
- Network Security
- Application & Operations Security
- Compliance/Incident Management
- A robust technical and/or IT audit background with practical experience across a diverse range of technologies, including server infrastructure, operating systems, network/web infrastructures, database architecture, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficient knowledge in the following risk domains/technologies: Database and Application Security, IDS/IPS Technologies, System/Access Administration, Firewall Technologies, Network Architecture, Security Event Logging & Monitoring, Key Management/Tokenization, Secure Protocols, Physical and Environmental Security, Secure Software Development, Change Management, and Vulnerability Management.
- A self-motivated individual capable of managing and prioritizing tasks effectively through sound time management practices.
- A collaborative team player with demonstrated skills in influencing peers without direct authority and motivating them to achieve objectives within set timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels, both technical and non-technical, in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities related to risk assessment.
- Flexibility to ensure assessments are completed by required deadlines while managing multiple evaluations concurrently.
Additional Experience/RequirementsPreferred experience includes conducting information security assessments, providing guidance to business stakeholders on security matters, and interpreting and applying security policies and standards.
IT Risk Management/Audit certifications (such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, etc.) are highly desirable.
