Job Responsibilities
- Provide High-Quality Nursing Care: Deliver exceptional care to residents in post-acute facilities, such as SNFs and ALFs.
- Administer Treatments and Medications: Safely administer individualized treatments and medications to residents.
- Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with residents and medical teams to develop personalized care plans.
- Set Up Medical Equipment: Ensure the proper setup and monitoring of medical equipment.
- Communicate with Residents and Families: Clearly explain care options and involve residents and families in decision-making.
- Meet with Physicians and Healthcare Staff: Consult with physicians and other healthcare staff as needed.
- Collect Lab Samples: Safely collect blood, urine, and other fluid samples for lab work.
- Document Interventions and Medical Histories: Accurately document interventions and medical condition histories.
- Investigate Incidents: Thoroughly investigate incidents and ensure accurate reporting.
- Train and Supervise Nursing Staff: Train and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current Massachusetts State License: Hold a current Massachusetts state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Nursing Program Completion: Complete an approved nursing program.
- Post-Acute Care Experience: Possess experience in post-acute care or in-patient hospital settings (at least 4 months).
- Excellent Organizational Skills: Demonstrate excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
