Favorite Friends Daycare is seeking a qualified Afternoon Program Teacher to join our team. As an Afternoon Program Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our school-age children.

About the Job:
The Afternoon Program Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities, leading by example, and working closely with the teaching team to ensure a healthy and safe classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement educational curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
  2. Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
  3. Maintain accurate daily records and ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
  4. Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards
  5. Ensure a healthy classroom environment, including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
  • A strong understanding of child development
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
