Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Progressive Care Coordinator. This role will be responsible for coordinating and directing the care of patients in the Progressive Care Unit, ensuring that they receive the highest level of care and attention.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling of personnel in the department.
  • Manage and fulfill day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee orientation of new staff members.
  • Share call with the 5 North Director.
  • Offer education to the 5 North staff as needed.
  • Serve as a professional role model.
  • Augment staffing level on an as needed basis.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process.
  • Participate and cooperate in the unit based Quality Improvement processes.
  • Support, maintain and provide an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel.
Requirements
  • ADN required, BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
  • BCLS required, ACLS preferred.
  • National Certification preferred.
  • Two years clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing required, one year of management experience preferred.
  • Acute Care experience preferred.
