Ironworking Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Ironworker Journeyman to join our team at Wood plc. As a global leader in consulting and engineering, we help unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.

This is a highly specialized position that requires expertise in structural iron fabrication and installation. The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience as a Journeyman and a strong background in mechanical areas such as Ironwork, Boilermaker, Pipefitting-Bolt Up, or Welding.

• Accurately interpret and apply information from work orders, job specifications, blueprints, and drawings to identify safe usage of power tools and hand tools.
• Recognize various materials used in piping systems and demonstrate knowledge of material handling techniques.
• Select and safely use equipment such as manlifts, fork lifts, and company trucks.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in safe rigging practices and crane hand signals.
• Identify and recognize components of structural systems and accurately layout and fabricate structural iron.

• 1-2 years of Journeyman experience.
• At least 2-3 years as an apprentice/helper in one of the mechanical areas mentioned above.
