About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Ironworker Journeyman to join our team. As an Ironworker Journeyman, you will be responsible for accurately interpreting and applying information from work orders, job orders, specifications, blueprints, ISO's or other drawings. You will also recognize basic blueprint terms and symbols for job application.

You will identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of power tools and hand tools appropriate for the job. This includes selecting and safely using appropriate equipment which may include (but not limited to) manlifts, fork lifts, and company trucks.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of Journeyman experience and at least 2-3 years as an apprentice/helper in one of the mechanical areas such as Ironworker, Boilermaker, Pipefitter-Bolt Up, Pipefitter Fabricator or Welding.

Key Responsibilities

2. Accurately interpret and apply information from work orders, job orders, specifications, blueprints, ISO's or other drawings and recognize basic blueprint terms and symbols for job application.">
3. Identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of power tools and hand tools appropriate for the job.">
4. Select and safely use appropriate equipment which may include (but not limited to) manlifts, fork lifts, and company trucks.">
5. Demonstrate knowledge and skills in safe rigging practices.">
6. Identify, explain and perform crane hand signals.">
7. Identify and recognize components of structural systems.">
8. Demonstrate ability to accurately layout and fabricate structural iron.">
9. Demonstrate ability to locate and mark reference points for structural components on foundation using master straightedge, square, transit, builder's levels and measuring tape.">
10. Align structure or plates to be assembled on boiler frames, tanks, or structures, using plumb bobs, wedges, dogs or turnbuckles.">
11. Demonstrate appropriate techniques in handling sections or structural parts in order to facilitate fitting edges together.">
12. Bolt or weld equipment sections using approved materials and procedures such as stacks, chutes, ladders, catwalks, etc.">

Qualifications and Requirements

What We Offer

Wood plc offers a competitive salary range of $65,000-$85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
