About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at The Arora Group. As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients.

Job Summary

The Mammography Technologist will be responsible for performing routine and diagnostic mammography exams, breast ultrasounds, and breast ultrasound-guided biopsies. You will also be responsible for performing all mammography Quality Control (QC) tests in accordance with the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines and adhering to radiation safety procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and diagnostic mammography exams, breast ultrasounds, and breast ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Perform all mammography Quality Control (QC) tests in accordance with the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines
  • Adhere to radiation safety procedures
  • Assist Radiologists in scheduling and performing needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and woman actograms
  • Confer with Radiologists and physicians from a variety of specialties to correlate relevant diagnosis, history, and requested examinations
  • Review medications/medical conditions in accordance with MTF policies, prior to scheduling an appointment, and determine if any special patient preparation is required
  • Discuss procedures with patients at time of scheduling
  • Correctly position patients for the examinations and make technical adjustments necessary for the required examination
  • Identify abnormalities during examinations and determine the need for additional views in accordance with MTF procedures
  • Process digital images and submit appropriate image series to Radiologists for interpretation/reading, in accordance with MTF protocols
  • Document all procedures and maintain records in accordance with MTF policies
  • Observe and report any symptoms that have direct bearing on the patient's condition to Radiologists
  • Recognize the need for, and institute the necessary emergency measures for, situations in which an individual may require medical attention
  • Perform system calibrations and quality control tasks in accordance with the manufacturer's and MTF policies
  • Recognize artifacts and equipment errors and notify designated Government personnel of outlying values
  • Initiate repair call procedures for equipment malfunctions by notifying appropriate personnel
  • Report problems to the biomedical repair section and record the condition in the trouble call logbook
Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited program or military equivalent program in order to meet the education requirements established for the certification(s) listed below
  • BLS
  • Contract HCWs shall have and maintain a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification as a Mammo Technologist
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience within the last five (5) years providing services as a certified Mammo Technologist
  • Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience within the last five (5) years providing services as a breast sonographer
  • Maintain a current Medical Radiological Technologist license in the state of Texas
  • Must provide proof of 15 hours continuing medical education (CME) specific to mammography/breast imaging within the last 36 months prior to date starting the position
  • Must provide proof of 8 hours continuing medical education (CME) specific to DBT/Digital Mammography within the last 36 months prior to date starting the position
  • Must be an US citizen for access to government computers
