KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Engage in the preventative maintenance program to uphold the quality of hotel operations.
2. Execute maintenance tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency.
3. Support the upkeep and repair of equipment across guest accommodations, communal areas, and hotel amenities.
4. Communicate effectively and professionally with guests, colleagues, and management.
5. Ensure compliance with fire safety inspections and rectify any identified issues.
6. Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to discuss repair scopes and materials.
7. Gather cost estimates and manage inventory for maintenance supplies.
8. Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times.
9. Liaise with the front desk for guest service requests and coordinate with housekeeping for maintenance orders.
10. Carry out additional tasks as directed by supervisors or management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.
- Basic maintenance knowledge and skills.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and standard office software.
- Commitment to providing excellent service to all guests.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a technical or vocational training program.
- Licensing in a relevant trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Experience in hospitality or a related field is advantageous.
