Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks an Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess patients, develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results, and provide direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify areas of need and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement occupational therapy treatments, including basic skills training and mentoring of assistive technology use.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Texas licensure to practice Occupational Therapy and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
