Job Summary

Tidelands Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical functions of the pharmacy, including reviewing and processing physician orders, patient medication profiles, and conducting routine daily rounds on assigned nursing units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely drug information, recommendations, and interventions to physicians, healthcare professionals, and patients.
  • Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Pharmacy in their duties to maximize department performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • Conduct and present assigned projects to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and other relevant committees.
  • Delegate duties from the Director or Assistant Director of Pharmacy Services and complete them accurately and promptly.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred.
  • Graduate of a college of pharmacy is preferred.
  • Ability to work under direct or minimal supervision and handle stress appropriately.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staffs.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
  • Ability to set priorities, make decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests.
  • Ability to meet the pharmaceutical care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk; frequently to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 15 to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 5 to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Normal range of hearing and vision to perform work and communicate is required.
