Job Summary

The Associate Director of Housing Facilities and Operations is a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our residential facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining full occupancy, providing clean and safe facilities, and liaising with the maintenance operations staff for three residential facilities at Augusta University, housing about 1,300 students.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Assignments Coordinator and Housing Operations Coordinator.
  • Collaborate with University Village Facilities staff and leadership.
  • Provide leadership to staff by communicating, interpreting, and administrating residence hall and University policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and collaborate with campus departments and community agencies.
  • Approve OneUSG for assigned staff.
  • Complete evaluations with staff to provide effective feedback on performance.
  • Participate in the formal and informal evaluation process.
  • Follow the progressive discipline procedures with staff when corrective action is needed.
  • Provide ongoing training and development for assigned staff.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with University Village Facility Staff to communicate and discuss maintenance/cleaning concerns.
  • Plan, assign, and schedule work projects and coordinate with vendors for building repairs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with three years of related experience, including two years of facilities management experience at a college or university.
  • OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study and five years of related experience, including three years of management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Familiarity with building/construction management.
  • Knowledge of housing facility management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Shift/Salary/Benefits

Days; Monday-Friday (work outside of normal business hours may be required)

$48,800/annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
