Job Summary

The Recovery Coach serves as a vital member of the Multi-disciplinary Treatment Team, providing unwavering support to clients throughout their treatment stay. Each Recovery Coach is assigned a caseload of clients who they will meet with to address any barriers to engaging in a recovery program during or after treatment.

The Recovery Coach utilizes their experiences to assist clients in developing a sober support network and utilizing the tools that they are learning as part of their treatment plan. All Recovery Coaches should have the ability to communicate effectively with clients in early recovery and handle crisis situations as they arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with clients within 48 hours of admission to complete an Individual Recovery Plan.
  • Meet with clients at minimum twice a week to review Recovery Plan progress.
  • Orient clients to the facility, program, and its schedule.
  • Assist individuals in recovery planning through completion or planning of concrete tasks.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living within housing programs.
  • Work with clients to develop a daily routine focusing on behaviors needed for long-term recovery.
  • Willingly share personal recovery experiences, demonstrate, and model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
  • Facilitate daily group activities as assigned.
  • Participate in both group and individual supervision with Clinical staff.
  • Work with clients to develop a discharge plan inclusive of areas addressed in the Individual Recovery Plan.
  • Follow up with clients post-discharge to check on progress and offer support as needed.
