About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Level I to join our team in West Allis, Wisconsin. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical fields, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and properly sterilized.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of procedures, anticipating and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, documenting patient information and procedure details.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
