Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Level I to join our team in West Allis, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient operating room environment, adhering to aseptic surgical techniques and protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and materials for surgical procedures, including gowning and gloving, draping, and providing a sterile field.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, passing instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Monitor and report any breaks in aseptic technique or other safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other duties as required.
