Job Overview

The role of the Equipment Operator involves the safe operation of heavy machinery of various sizes and weights utilized in transporting base materials and final grading for diverse construction assignments. This position is seasonal in nature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate essential machinery including: Asphalt Paver, Asphalt Screed, Steel Faced Roller, Oil Distributor Truck, and other commercial equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Interpret and comprehend construction plans effectively.
  • May be assigned additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in asphalt paving is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's license is mandatory.
  • CDL Class A or B is preferred; assistance in obtaining it will be provided.
  • Availability for overtime is expected, with a minimum of 40 hours, including weekends as needed.
  • Dependability and reliable transportation to and from work are essential.
  • Maintain precise timecards and job-related documentation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, with a minimum weight of 50lbs.
