Job Summary: The Patient Financial Navigator plays a crucial role in assisting patients and their families in navigating financial resources. The navigator will provide essential support in enrolling patients in available government initiatives and educating them about payment options and financial aid programs.

Key Position Details:
  • No weekend or major holiday shifts

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Conducts screenings for financial navigation services
  • Engages with patients to discuss their insurance coverage and treatment expenses
  • Assesses patient eligibility for financial assistance programs
  • Facilitates the completion of necessary documentation for assistance programs
  • Maintains records of patient insurance details and maximizes benefits
  • Monitors patients for potential financial challenges and refers them to appropriate agencies as necessary
  • Educates both colleagues and patients regarding financial navigation services
  • Tracks and reports key performance indicators related to the financial navigation program

Job Requirements:
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or a related Business field
  • Required: 2 to 5 years of experience in Healthcare Customer Service or Revenue Cycle
  • Preferred: Experience in Patient Accounts or Financial Counseling
  • Preferred: Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance processes

Physical Demands: Primarily sedentary, with occasional lifting of weights up to 10 lbs.
