Freenome is a high-growth biotech company developing innovative tests to detect cancer using a standard blood draw. Our multiomics platform combines tumor and non-tumor signals with machine learning to find cancer in its earliest, most-treatable stages.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Director of Cloud Infrastructure to lead our Infrastructure team, providing services for early cancer detection blood tests and other company-wide initiatives. The ideal candidate is a servant-leader who can manage a growing team, navigate ambiguity, and adapt to rapid change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, strategic, and tactical leadership to the Infrastructure team
  • Develop new strategies, methodologies, and solutions to improve execution towards department- and company-level objectives
  • Partner with the QA Department to ensure regulatory compliance and quality best practices
  • Translate business segment strategy into cross-functional plans and guide plan execution
  • Accountable for the performance and results of the Infrastructure team
Requirements
  • BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering leadership and management
  • 3+ years of infrastructure experience with a track record of building and deploying infrastructure as part of a high-functioning team
  • Multi-public cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Deep knowledge and proven working experience in managing Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure services, networking, security
What We Offer

The US target range of our base salary for new hires is $197,200 - $304,000. You will also be eligible to receive pre-IPO equity, cash bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered.
