Job Scope: We are seeking an experienced EPCM Scheduler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling heavy industrial engineering projects, monitoring project costs, and estimating projects. This role will involve working under minimal supervision and will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop schedules and analysis for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify potential coordination issues.
  • Develop, monitor, and update schedules through regular meetings, construction coordination interviews, and field verification.
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of Earned Value and Project Productivity.
  • Monitor and maintain the change notice/change order management system, facilitating weekly change notice hearings and change committee meetings.
  • Develop estimates for construction projects, including estimates associated with change notices.
  • Develop and maintain the cost system, reconciling commitments, change orders, contractor invoices, and producing cost reports.
  • Establish a progressive system for projects, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Assist clients and teammates in developing construction and contract strategies for constructability of projects, focusing on logistics and safety.
  • Assist in quantity analysis for the duration of activities and for estimating purposes.
  • Interact and lead Project Controls efforts with clients, contractors, and internal teammates on projects and Hargrove required management direction within the Project Controls discipline.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science, or related field highly preferred.
  • AACE International or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification highly preferred.
  • 15 or more years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control, and estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of company business standards and good practices.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines.
  • Understanding of existing and potential customer deliverable expectations and preferences.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of other disciplines deliverable development to ensure coordination of efforts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements for the production of all project controls deliverables.
  • Ability to develop a construction cost estimate, a detailed engineering schedule, and a man-hour budget for a small project or an area for a larger project.
  • Ability to determine construction material quantities.
  • Experienced in estimating and scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of project controls work.
  • Ability to accurately estimate completion of assigned tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software and Timberline Estimating software.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
