Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at Kent Nutrition Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating feed manufacturing equipment, mixing and preparing livestock feeds, and ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Mix and prepare livestock feeds accurately and with high quality
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging
  • Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor
  • Observe and enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Prepare and submit quality control samples for review
  • Ensure all feeds meet yield guidelines and quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by plant management
Requirements
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good communication, verbal, written, and math skills
  • Ability to work with all fellow employees
  • Thorough understanding of cGMPs
  • Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan
  • Knowledge of FSMA
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
Physical Demands

The successful candidate must be able to safely lift up to 55 pounds from floor to working height.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage is $18.00.
