Position Title: Professional CDL Operator and Team Member

Role Overview:

As a CDL Operator and Team Member, you will collaborate with a crew or operate from a designated yard, responsible for delivering equipment and materials to various job sites while also engaging in on-site tasks. You will execute assignments as directed by the foreman, utilizing various machinery such as backhoes, excavators, and directional bore machines for the installation, removal, or maintenance of underground utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of cargo, completing all necessary documentation.
  • Assist team members on-site with various labor-intensive tasks, including hand digging and equipment operation.
  • Demonstrate skilled workmanship and possess the knowledge and physical capabilities required for construction and maintenance duties in the natural gas industry.
  • Exhibit the ability to perform essential physical functions of the role while adhering to tight schedules.
  • Maintain professionalism in interactions with customers and the public.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures in accordance with Southeast Connections, LLC standards.
  • Load and secure materials or equipment for transport to job sites, ensuring public safety and safeguarding equipment at the end of each shift.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of relevant operating experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial driving regulations and the ability to maneuver trucks effectively.
  • Possession of a valid Class A CDL with combination vehicle and air brake endorsements, along with a clean driving record and current medical certification.
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Capability to drive for extended hours and travel as required.
  • Adaptability and foresight to manage unexpected situations, such as traffic and weather conditions.
