Our fleet comprises over 1,500 modern trucks, and we manage a vast network of more than 50 distribution centers across the nation, ensuring next-day delivery to 95% of the United States.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Truck Operator is tasked with driving a Class A vehicle to transport critical medical supplies to our local clientele. This role is vital in fostering positive relationships with our customers by guaranteeing timely, precise, and secure deliveries.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work schedule from Monday to Friday, with start times between 10 PM and 12 AM.
- Load and secure products from the Medline facility into the truck.
- Safely navigate a Class A vehicle between the Medline facility and various customer locations along the delivery route, adhering to Medline's safety protocols, including the use of safety gear and conducting safety inspections.
- Unload and deliver products at customer sites, ensuring punctual deliveries.
- Provide face-to-face support to customers, addressing inquiries and needs while delivering appropriate documentation.
- Communicate with the dispatch team regarding necessary changes to delivery routes or schedules to meet customer requirements and maintain safe operations.
- Keep a travel and cargo log in compliance with Federal and State regulations and company policies.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and adequate fuel levels for continued use.
Relevant Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience driving tractor-trailers is required.
Additional Requirements
- Possession of a Class A CDL; authorized to operate the assigned vehicle.
- Ability to fulfill Federal and State criteria for operating commercial motor vehicles.
- A clean driving record with no significant violations.
- Candidates should be comfortable driving through various terrains and handling touch freight as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
