Job OpportunityPosition Overview:

Kilgore College is seeking a qualified Economics instructor to join our faculty. This is a part-time, adjunct position that will teach Economics courses on campus and online.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Economics courses to students on campus and online.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments.
  • Provide individualized support to students and respond to their needs.
  • Stay current with developments in Economics and incorporate relevant topics into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree or higher in Economics or a related field is required.
  • At least 18 graduate hours in Economics or relevant working experience in the course learning outcomes.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience.
  • Proficient in the use of technology and a commitment to excellence in teaching at the college level.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a typical classroom environment and get along with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Ability to handle high levels of stress.
Benefits:
  • Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.

Kilgore College is a two-year, comprehensive public community college with a campus in Kilgore and an extension center in Longview, Texas. Positions will remain open until filled. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment.
