Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flexographic Press Operator to join our team at Action Label. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating our flexographic press to print high-quality designs and lettering on various substrates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Press Operation: Set up and operate the flexographic press to print designs and lettering on rolls of flexible paper and nonabsorbent stock.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of printed materials, identifying and addressing any issues or defects.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on the press and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth production and meet customer deadlines.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the setup and operation of a Mark Andy 830 Press.
  • Skills: Practical experience with digital print equipment, knowledge of printing procedures, materials, and specifications, and ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus one to three years of related experience.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work on feet for 8-12 hour shifts, 5-6 days a week, and lift 50 pounds frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Fine Art and Graphics education a plus.
  • Experience: Previous manufacturing experience and knowledge of 440/480v systems.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and ability to prepare routine reports such as time sheets and waste worksheets.
