Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist

About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled and experienced nurse to join our Behavioral Health Team. As a Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist, you'll work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Your primary responsibility will be to conduct intake screenings, evaluate symptoms, and triage patients based on their condition. You'll also assess patients' mental health needs, including observing their behavior and evaluating their progress.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You'll also need to be able to prioritize tasks and manage your time efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct intake screenings and evaluate symptoms to determine patient needs
- Assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and progress
To be considered for this role, you'll need to have:
- A current RN license in Connecticut
- BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program
You'll also need to have at least 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting. A BSN degree is preferred.
BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
