As a mobile radiologic imaging specialist, your responsibilities will include:


Conducting mobile diagnostic imaging procedures across diverse environments to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

This role also encompasses additional responsibilities aimed at enhancing patient care, customer satisfaction, image quality, operational effectiveness, and mentoring fellow imaging professionals.


Position Highlights:
Recently introduced shift differentials for weekend and evening work

Flexible scheduling options: 5-8 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts

Must possess either an ARRT certification or a Limited Scope x-ray license for the state of VA

Company vehicle provided for work-related travel

Your Daily Responsibilities:
Your typical day as a mobile radiologic imaging specialist will involve:


Traveling by vehicle as assigned to perform portable x-ray and EKG examinations in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional facilities, residential homes, and other patient locations.

Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and protocols while conducting diagnostic imaging exams.

Collecting and confirming all necessary order documentation and patient information prior to examinations.

Preparing and positioning patients for imaging procedures.

Operating portable radiologic equipment at the patient's location or other designated areas.

Determining exposure settings based on patient characteristics and imaging requirements.


Exhibiting safe work practices relevant to the role, including safe driving, radiation safety, infection control, and the proper use of personal protective equipment; ensuring the safe operation of x-ray equipment and the careful handling of imaging devices during patient visits.

Preparing images for review by radiologists or referring physicians.

Processing and assessing images for diagnostic quality before transmission.

Sending images and all necessary documentation promptly in accordance with company protocols.

Completing all required forms and maintaining accurate records, visit logs, and reports of work performed per standard procedures.


Conducting routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment; assisting with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues as directed by management or service personnel.

Maintaining the company vehicle in good condition and ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies.


Operating in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding portable imaging procedures.

Providing training and orientation to new employees upon management request.


Assisting with order management, study validation, communication with interpreting radiologists, patient follow-ups, and other administrative support tasks as directed.


Demonstrating professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, patients, families, client staff, and healthcare providers.

Following instructions and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Maintaining positive and professional communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Meet all state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including one or more of the following: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R)

Limited Scope X-ray Operator — in accordance with state-specific regulations

State x-ray license (if applicable)

Possess a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a clean driving record

Ability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

Ability to navigate stairs easily while carrying equipment
