Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Damage and Return Processing: Process damaged or defective merchandise, following established procedures for salvage, donation, and vendor return.
- Vendor Communication: Obtain return authorizations from vendors, process vendor chargebacks, and package and ship merchandise returns.
- Inventory Control: Work with department teams to track, plan, coordinate, and execute department inventory counts and control cycles.
- Stockroom Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized stockroom, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
- Training and Development: Complete required training and certification processes, including forklift operation.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills; ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, and bending; occasional lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Environmental Conditions: Exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures, as well as occasional exposure to extreme temperatures in freezers and coolers.
