About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Services Auditor to join our team at EagleBank. As a key member of our Internal Audit Department, you will be responsible for performing complex financial, operational, and compliance audits for Eagle Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform varied and complex internal audits of Eagle Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiaries in accordance with the audit plan and consistent with audit objectives and the strategic initiatives of the company and IIA standards.
  • Act as Auditor In Charge (AIC) to independently conduct audits and provide assurance and consultative services.
  • Develop and maintain audit and proficient technical competencies needed to complete audit assignments encompassing all complex systems and software.
  • Communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner and provide meaningful recommendations based on evaluated risks and follow-up on the resolution of issues.
  • Comply with the Internal Audit Department Charter, procedures, and professional standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business management, finance, or a related field; 4 additional years of audit experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • 4 years of internal audit or public accounting experience in public accounting, audit, risk management, or regulatory compliance in a professional firm or business.
  • Ability to execute and lead certain audits at times with minimal supervision required.
  • Ability to meet workpaper quality and timely delivery standards.
  • Knowledge of audit methodologies and developing key internal audit deliverables including process flows and narratives, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad exposure to the banking industry.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CBA (Certified Bank Examiner).
