Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Daskk Hotels & Resorts Orlando. As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements to ensure the hotel's facilities and equipment are in good working condition. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements to ensure the hotel's facilities and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Display proficiency in maintaining, repairing, and replacing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, and boiler systems.
  • Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Repair drywall and paint as necessary.
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves of all equipment and utilities for buildings.
  • Ensure chemicals and hazardous materials are stored properly.
  • Maintain pool systems and equipment.
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
  • Ensure all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner, adhering to standards of safety and effective equipment utilization.
  • Maintain working knowledge of departmental safety procedures and attend safety-training programs as required.
  • Maintain necessary service records on mechanical and structural systems.
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for guest relations, timekeeping, and safety.
Requirements
  • Technical training preferred.
  • Hospitality or related industry experience.
  • Trade-related certifications preferred (especially in HVAC).
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of database software, internet software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
  • Ability to complete work at heights up to 50 feet using ladders, harnesses, and lifts.
