We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to provide critical financial insights to management through thorough research and analysis of accounts, alongside the preparation of financial statements.

Work Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Key Responsibilities:


Execute comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, which encompass but are not limited to: managing accounts payable, organizing and filing financial documents, reviewing work, handling sales/use tax submissions, and performing account reconciliations.

Assist in the timely completion of month-end and year-end financial closing processes, including recording accruals, conducting account reconciliations, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.

Support accounting management by responding to information requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze data by creating detailed spreadsheet reports and verifying accuracy.
Enhance job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities, reading industry publications, maintaining professional networks, and engaging in professional organizations.
Contribute to the accounting and organizational mission by fulfilling related duties as required.

Required Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong understanding of GAAP Accounting Principles.

Work Environment:
This position is based in a professional office setting. The role regularly utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to communicate effectively.

The employee often needs to stand, walk, use hands for various tasks, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee may occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds is required, with occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
2 – 4 years of relevant Accounting experience.
