Nurse Practitioner Collaborator for Primary Care

We will manage all the initial setup for your practice, absorb many of your ongoing operational costs, and assist in hiring a manager to facilitate your practice's operations. Continuous support will be provided to your manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient health through interviews and physical examinations, including obtaining and reviewing medical histories
- Document patient care services by maintaining accurate patient and departmental records
- Deliver quality outpatient services by appointment
- Provide ongoing health maintenance, education, and disease prevention screenings for adults
- Conduct well-women gynecological exams, including necessary screenings, history-taking, examinations, and education
- Educate patients on disease processes and healthy lifestyle choices
- Stay updated on immunization schedules, routine adult health maintenance recommendations, and general clinic protocols
- Order and assess appropriate laboratory and imaging studies
- Engage in continuing medical education and maintain licensure standards
- Keep current prescriptive authority license, OBNDD, and DEA number
- Maintain knowledge of Nurse Practitioner formulary and prescribe medications within the formulary limits
- Participate in community health screenings and disease prevention initiatives
- Communicate with the Medical Director regarding challenging cases, poor outcomes, or involvement of external agencies in patient care
- Interact effectively with patients, families, clinic team members, and other stakeholders
- Complete assigned activities, projects, and committee responsibilities within designated timeframes
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Oklahoma
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Strong clinical and diagnostic capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Dedication to ongoing learning and professional development
- Communication Skills: Essential for effectively engaging with patients and colleagues, requiring excellent listening, speaking, and interpersonal abilities to build trust and convey instructions clearly.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify diseases and health conditions based on clinical interviews, physical examinations, and lab results, and to develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Critical Thinking: Skill in evaluating various treatment options to determine the most effective approach for patient care.
- Compassion: Capacity to empathize with patients and their families during challenging times.
- Leadership Skills: Experience in managing other healthcare team members, such as RNs and LPNs.
