Job Overview

Tyler Bloom Consulting is currently seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is essential for maintaining our fleet of construction and irrigation machinery, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on a variety of construction and irrigation equipment.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Shop Manager regarding the status of equipment readiness.
  • Accurately track work orders and manage inventory to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability through proactive follow-up on equipment issues.
  • Foster positive relationships within the organization to support a collaborative work environment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Exhibit a commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive workplace atmosphere.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in mechanical repairs, particularly with gas and diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience conducting maintenance in both shop and field environments.
  • Ability to manage the loading and unloading of equipment for transport.
  • Familiarity with Fleet Maintenance software for effective inventory and equipment management.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective repairs while maintaining regular updates with the Shop Manager on equipment conditions.
  • Adaptable to various operational settings, demonstrating versatility in both shop and field tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
  • Technological proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; recent graduates from technical schools are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $65,000 - $95,000, based on experience.
  • 401k plan with employer matching after one year of service.
