ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking an experienced NERC Compliance Expert to join our Renewables Operations Engineering team.

About the Role

This critical position will play a key role in implementing and enhancing ENGIE's NERC Compliance Program, ensuring compliance with all Reliability Standards for a growing portfolio of renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement compliance programs and internal controls to support operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead internal compliance assessments, reviewing evidence and developing technical programs to ensure adherence to NERC standards.
  • Conduct or manage technical studies and compliance activities for FAC, EOP, PRC, and MOD Reliability Standards.
  • Collaborate with internal SMEs and technical consultants to develop new or improved internal controls.
  • Maintain ongoing awareness of developments in Bulk Electric System reliability and identify required actions to maintain compliance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline; alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' experience working with NERC compliance.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in NERC compliance, with a strong knowledge of one or more engineering topics related to compliance.
  • Experience performing or reviewing NERC Compliance studies or evidence for one or more of the following: PRC-004, 005, 019, 024, 025, and 027.
  • Deep understanding of NERC standards and regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in one or more reliability standard areas (PRC, MOD, FAC, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $96,100 - $147,660 USD annually, based on location, experience, industry knowledge, education, and internal pay alignment. This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
