Intake Coordinator

The Intake Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring seamless access to mental health services at Lorenz Clinic. As the first point of contact for individuals seeking care, this position requires excellent communication and organizational skills to navigate the client's journey towards wellness.

• Client Intake and Assessment: Assess and triage client admissions using identified admission criteria, ensuring accurate documentation and prioritization of calls.
• Insurance and Reimbursement: Verify insurance coverage, secure authorization, and facilitate reimbursement to ensure timely access to services.
• Client Education and Navigation: Provide basic patient education, advocacy, and navigation based on preliminary assessment of needs, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all staff and visitors.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clinicians, business office staff, and payers to resolve issues and facilitate efficient patient flow.
• Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate scheduling, appointment management, and ensure full utilization and productivity of clinicians' schedules.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, public health, nursing, or other human services field.
• Experience: 1 year patient-facing experience in a behavioral health related field, managed care, or call center.
• Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
