Job Title: Housekeeping and Floor Care Specialist
About the Role:
The Plymouth Court SNF, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping and Floor Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents.
About You:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You have at least one year of experience in a housekeeping role, preferably in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain environmental and infection control standards by performing daily cleaning tasks.
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, offices, hallways, and other areas inside the facility as well as outside upon request.
- Perform floor care duties, including stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, steaming, mopping, and sweeping in assigned areas.
- Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, and related housekeeping equipment.
- Clean vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes, and other high areas using a ladder.
- Performs deep cleaning procedures of resident rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants.
- Dust horizontal surfaces and fill soap and paper towel dispensers daily.
- Collect and transport trash and contaminated waste to main collection receptacles.
- Maintain established infection control and standard precaution practices at all times.
- Report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, and supply issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents and interact with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect, and promotes a caring environment.
- Respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in resident care areas.
- Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, and transfer of residents to different rooms within the facility.
- Assist with training of new staff as needed.
- Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
Salary Information: The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $40,000-$50,000, depending on location and experience.
