Job Summary:

As a Tire and Battery Center Technician at Sam's Club, you will play a vital role in providing safe and efficient service in both sales and service areas of the department. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member's expectations. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educating other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentoring new technicians. You will also be responsible for demonstrating knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Additionally, you will leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians.
  • Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Be an Owner: Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to TBC Lead, track and monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, work hands-on in the physical area, maintain accurate inventory, audit, safety, and compliance standards, report TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas, complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures, identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience in the TBC area and modeling high-quality service and products, develop, influence, and inspire others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented, understand the roadblocks and assist in training team members.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
