We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our Medical/Surgical unit at CHI Mercy Health Valley City. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to positive patient experiences and providing exceptional care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Salary: The estimated hourly salary for this position is $18.48 - $24.63, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, including oral cares, bathing, transferring, repositioning, feeding, and direct supervision as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, reporting observations, serving as a liaison between patient and nurse, and updating other staff members through shift report.
  • Measure and document vital signs, input and output, weights, procedures, personal care, activities of daily living, specimens as directed, observations, dietary intake, and ambulation accurately and promptly.
  • Assume routine coordination of clerical activities under the direction of department leadership and nurses on duty, including answering and routing phone calls, stocking supplies, communicating new orders and test results to pertinent staff, and locating charts and forms as requested.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Registration as a Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Board of Nursing or Certificate through the North Dakota State Health Department within six months of hire date.
  • Prioritize flexibility and adaptability, working varied shifts as needed.
